Lonergan Joins Firm’s New York Office After 10 Years in the Southern District of New York Criminal Division

PALO ALTO, CA (24 august 2021) – Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the leading provider of legal services to technology, life sciences and growth companies worldwide, today announced that Jessica Rose Lonergan has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the office of New York. She will be a member of Wilson Sonsini’s litigation department.

Most recently, Lonergan spent more than 10 years as the Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. In this role, she has led more than 175 investigations and grand jury prosecutions regarding corruption, violations of the Corrupt Practices Abroad Act, banking and electronic fraud, fraud against the government, tax evasion, union fraud, racketeering, money laundering and drug trafficking. Additionally, Lonergan has conducted nine criminal jury trials and has informed and argued numerous successful appeals to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Previously, Lonergan served as legal assistant to the Honorable Julio M. Fuentes at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She also served as a clerk for the Honorable Jan E. DuBois in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Lonergan got his JD, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from New York University School of Law in 2008, and a BA in English and Theater Studies from Swarthmore College, graduate Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to practice in New York.
