Second former CME lawyer to join the Chicago office

CHICAGO, September 13, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Financial services law firm Murphy & McGonigle today announced the addition of a new partner to its Chicago Office, Ross Pazzol, an accomplished financial services lawyer who brings his experience to clients of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Pazzol comes from CME Group, where he has served as Deputy General Counsel for the past five years.

Mr. Pazzol is the second alumnus of the CME group, the world’s largest financial derivatives exchange, to recently join the group. Chicago Office; former senior enforcement counsel William E. Walsh joined in July. At CME, Mr. Pazzol has represented the Bourse in various CFTC and Federal Reserve reviews, and in its implementation of complex liquidity, collateral and custody arrangements.

At CME, he represented the Collateral and Banking team in connection with the CME $ 7 billion syndicated loan, its implementation of new collateral, banking and settlement agreements, and its analysis of repo and netting agreements.

A former student of Loyola University of Chicago Faculty of Law and the University of Illinois, Mr. Pazzol is a member of the Law and Compliance Division of the Futures Industry Association.
