The former assistant to a powerful New York gay real estate broker is suing her ex-boss for allegedly tormenting her while she was in his service.

Amy Gagnon started working as a personal assistant to Manhattan’s top real estate broker, Jared Seligman, last spring. Seligman is an agent with Douglas Elliman, one of New York’s largest brokerage firms and the fourth-largest residential real estate company nationwide.

In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Federal Court on Monday, Gagnon says she had no idea what she expected when she first took over the job in May 2016.

“What Ms. Gagnon did not know and could not anticipate is that the price she was asked to pay in exchange for this experience would oblige her to participate in the sexual predilections and illegal activities of her boss,” indicates the trial.

He then alleges that Seligman, whose clients include James Franco and Kirstin Dunst, forced Gagnon to work from his apartment once so he could bring in his doctor and give him Botox injections. During the appointment, Seligman reportedly told the doctor, “I want your d— in my face” and “Oooooh you’re so sexy.”

“Monsieur. Seligman then began to roughly fiddle with the doctor in front of Ms. Gagnon, kicking her in the crotch,” the court documents say.

Another time, Gagnon says she was working in Seligman’s apartment when a “strange man” came by. He and Seligman disappeared into a bedroom and “engaged in strong, unmistakable sex.”

The lawsuit accuses Seligman of wanting Gagnon to hear his “raucous” antics for some unknown reason.

“In fact,” the complaint continues, “Mr. Seligman left little doubt as to his intentions when, shortly after the other man’s departure, Mr. Seligman came out of his bedroom wearing only his bathrobe and smiled at him. Mrs. Gagnon.

On top of all this, Gagnon says she was forced to work up to 12 hours a day without overtime and frequently received calls while intoxicated from her boss after office hours.

Gagnon says she suffered “from severe mental anguish and emotional distress,” but when she complained last December, she was quickly fired. She brings an action for pecuniary compensation, the amount of which will be determined at trial.
