Summary

Oversee and increase sales volume in a specific area/territory for Nova Naturals and act as a liaison between Nova Naturals head office and the corporate presence in their respective territory with a 100% focus on the trade channel for natural specialties.

State Responsibility: TX, OK, KS, AR, LA, MI, AL, GA, TN, KY

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The hybrid position requires both field work (store level) and key account/headquarters management.

· Manage and call key accounts in a defined territory: implement promotions planners, marketing plans, etc.

Achieve 20 store visits/week and 30 successful store calls/month (tracked via storage space)

Achieve annual targets for POS placement, storefronts, new item locations, MPODS, cooler liners, refrigerators, shippers, etc.

· Achieve territory and key account case budget for Nova Naturals brands.

· Perform daily retail store audits to ensure product placement, presentation, POS application and inventory management.

· Organize/conduct in-store demos and events in respective territory to help build brand presence as needed.

· Build and maintain professional relationships with retailers at the store level.

· Work collaboratively with Nova Natural sales teams to develop and facilitate promotional/activate programs at the retail level.

· Work in collaboration with the Marketing team to activate marketing programs (based on quarterly themes).

· Develop, plan and execute promotional activities; community-focused, on college campuses, at trade shows, and more.

· Negotiates to maintain store conditions at the highest level of product placement (secondary placement as well coolers).

Build relationships and work with Distributor/Broker Representatives to implement and activate promotions and daily case stack offers/price load programs.

· Carry out rounds (accompaniment) with representatives of brokers and distributors.

· Works to impact sales at the store level by obtaining authorization from store managers to create orders/revenues.

· Promote the brand and all packages consistently and in a timely manner throughout the region for which you are responsible.

· Track and report all retail activity (for Nova Naturals and competitor brands) and shelf space market changes daily (at every store visit).

· Provides constructive feedback to NN employees/HQ on product placement and negotiation of desired storage space.

· Acts as a leader to drive and coordinate programs at the store level.

· Follow up with store managers and decision makers to ensure customer satisfaction and/or uncover opportunities for improvement.

· Fosters a creative environment to deliver fresh and innovative initiatives at the store level.

· Increases the visibility and turnover of the products in the points of sale.

· Responsible for completing assigned projects within agreed budget and timelines.

· Other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

The candidate must be self-motivated, organized and highly productive, with the ability to work well within a diverse and highly skilled team in a fast-paced work environment. Be effective in working as a member of a team within the sales department as well as with other staff and other areas within the Nova Naturals brands.

Excellent customer service skills, analytical abilities as well as verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to multi-task across multiple projects.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential task satisfactorily and must be able to make business and financial decisions based on their ability to meet sales volume budget and discounts promotional items (given to you by the Retail Fulfillment Manager) . Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college; and/or 2+ years of related experience;) ideally in natural products; financial expertise and familiarity, including budget planning and control, financial statement analysis, and P&Ls. Experience working with cross-functional teams.
