Starting July 13, users of the free version of Deezer can pair their Google Assistant speakers and smart displays with the app and stream hours of music to their home or office.

To access this new feature, users need to set Deezer as the default music service in the Google Home app. After that, they can just say “Hey Google, put on my music” and enjoy their tracks.

Users looking for a relaxed soundtrack in their home can ask Google Assistant to play their “Flow”. They can also request playlists, artists, or mood-driven music.

Deezer Free comes with ads, but users get six hops per hour. All playlists are also in shuffle mode.

“We want everyone to play their favorite songs at home, even if they don’t have a paid subscription. So whether you love relaxing music or working out with the latest fitness playlists, just ask Google Assistant to play from Deezer! said Nicolas Pinoteau, director of partnership integration at Deezer.

Deezer Free smart speakers and displays on Google Assistant have been rolled out for listeners based in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, UK and US.

The streaming giant has around 16 million active users worldwide and offers 73 million songs, podcasts and radio stations.

Deezer is the only music streaming service with Flow, the unique blend of all your old favorites and new recommendations in an ever-changing stream.
