Attention Delawareans – are you ready for a career change? Sussex County Estate Agents Association® is offering a pre-licensing course which can be your first step towards your exciting new future in real estate but you must act quickly because the deadline to register for this course is Sunday, July 10, 5 p.m. EST!
The real estate profession has expanded and now offers one of the widest career choices in the business world. Helping people buy and sell homes, office buildings, industrial properties and farmland, property management, land development, mortgage banks, town planning, real estate advice, valuation and research are all aspects of a career in real estate.
A career in real estate offers the flexibility and freedom to set your own pace. Income directly reflects your efforts, with no limit on what crafty, hardworking men and women can earn.
Successful people in real estate are goal-oriented, persistent, driven, ambitious, and people-oriented. The rewards of a career in real estate are high earning potential, status in the community, autonomy, freedom of time, helping others, intellectual challenge, and satisfaction with those accomplishments.
Working in real estate allows for independence and choices of environment in which to work, such as affiliation with a large or small company as a listed seller. With more experience and after passing an additional exam, becoming a real estate broker is the next step. Brokers can own their own business and employ other salespeople.
The SCAOR real estate pre-licensing course starts on July 18 (with orientation) and ends on September 27. The course consists of three hours per evening (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.), three evenings a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). The total course cost is $699, which includes all books and materials. All classes will be conducted easily via Zoom.
